Obama's expensive new jobs

Obama's $800 billion plus "stimulus" package is said to create only 3.5 million jobs. The math on that comes out to about $220k per job.

I could do way better than that. Just write me a check for $800 billion dollars and I'll create a whole lot more jobs. Sure they won't pay a quarter of a million dollars each, but there will be a lot more people working. I'll probably start by creating a new automobile company, then an airline. haha!

But seriously, would you define the previous 8 years as a success?

Is america so much better after the Republicans?

We've been in a downward spiral for 20 years, the last 8 were as good or better than the 8 before that.

You seem to be missing some facts though, so lets clear some things up.

First, I'm not much of a Republican. I'm a member of the anti-incumbent party, leaning toward libertarian.

The economic problems started in the early 90s, any half-thinking economist will tell you that.

The upshoot in terrorism started with a man named Clinton who was too much of a pansy to pull the trigger on the top terrorist organizer living today.

The republicans have not been the only ones at the wheel the last 8 years. There's a BIG difference between a majority and 100%. The republicans themselves aren't even fiscal conservatives anymore, they've joined the democrats on that front.

Pointing fingers at an individual or party for something as general as the state of the union over 8 years is pathetic. There are 100s of morons in DC making bad decisions, not just one or two or one party.

Are all of your blogs for the next 4-8 years going to be about Obama? What about your cute wife? You should be counting your blessings that I put up with you.

As far as i can tell "Obama"(Nancy Pelosi) has just come up with a clever way to steal from the rich and give to the poor.(i love that this spell check doesn't even recognize obama's name) by Printing that much money the inflation is going to make everybody's dollar worth less but then they will only give the money to the "poor", and their little light rail systems from LasVegas to California.

At the very least you could Blog about how Late Night TV hosts are afraid to make jokes about Obama. Out of fear they'll be called racist, perhaps? Because when they do joke about him, they almost always cast him in a positive light, or point out how GW would have screwed up even more in the same situation.

The wife and I went to the KROQ April Foolishness Gig and only one comedian dared to make jokes about Obama, and even then it was crass "Obama's dick is so big" jokes. He then called on another comedian (who'd played the keyboard earlier as part of his act) to come out and play the piano for him. This second comedian, who happened to be black, came out on stage and the first words out of his mouth were "What's with all the Obama jokes, mother fucker?"

You know, we could all just keep his blog going for him through comments. We're doing good so far. Anyone have anything they want to discuss?

I don't know about you guys, but the weather here in southern California has been crazy. We'll have a really warm day, like in mid 80s, and the next day it's practically in the 60s. Then it's back up to the 80s, then back down into the 60s again. Very unusual.

The Bees are still dying, too.

We've been having the same in Arizona. It was raining, cold, miserable on Saturday and now yesterday and today are 85+ with blue skies. Weird.

We're supposed to hit 95 today. The record for L.A., set in 1958, is 96. I'm glad I work in an office with a/c...just hope it holds out :P

We not only hit 95, but went past, almost all the way to 100. Thanks heavens today is supposed to be cooler, like 97 :P

How are you folks in Arizona holding out? I'd ask about BH but I think the Men in Black finally caught up with him. Which is odd, I'd have thought they'd come and get me, first.

We are in the 100s this week. We're supposed to cool back down this weekend, but only to the 80s. I am already turning my A/C on at 9:00 in the am! I guess that's what you get when you live in AZ.

Do you think Wes will ever catch on to the blogging that is going on here? He must be super busy or just entertaining himself by seeing how long we can keep this going. ;)

You could be onto something. He could very well be sitting back saying to himself, "I don't need to Blog; these guys are doing a great job themselves."

From almost triple-digit temps on Monday & Tuesday, we're now down into the 60s, with overcast clouds that make it look like it could rain at any second. Hardly surprising that my coworkers seem to be coming down with the sniffles.

I'm glad it's cooler, I just wish it would be a little more consistent, and not change temperatures so rapidly and drastically.

Cabo is nice this time of year. The Sea of Cortez is beautiful. We didn't bring the swine flu back with us, luckily.

My husband says he loves me more than a bailout. I thought it was very romantic. I'm so happy Obama and the Congress helped him to express his love from me.

For me, for me, duh!

So, I heard Wes has a new job. Obama's policies apparently haven't affected his ability to acquire work. But then, when you are a genius, there are probably more jobs available. Anywho...good luck with your new job, Wesley!

Ahh, is that what's going on? He's landed himself a new job? I guess failure to Blog on account of a new job is excusable.

Glad to hear of the new gig, Wes. Hope it was a move up in the world, and not just a lateral.

And don't worry about your Blog. We're keeping it alive for you while you're busy with "new job" things.

New job my eye! We all have jobs and find time to blog! No excuses! Heck, we are all keeping his blog alive too!

The weather in Phoenix: HOT! Crazy to say, but I already miss the rainy greeness that was Utah. And I haven't even been home for 12 hours yet!

I just came over here to tell him that I updated my "Peanut Butter and Jelly" post with an important double peanut butter rule. He was the first person to comment on my blog that I didn't already know back in March of 2006. Or maybe the first person I didn't know

But, sniff... I guess he has gone on to better things. No time for us little people and our lunch time snacks. sniff.

I told myself I wasn't going to cry. Sob!
