Gay's declare war on mormons

It wasn't that long ago that it was perfectly legal to kill a mormon if you caught one out in the open in Missouri. We've progressed so far as a country, that now, if you're gay, it's encouraged to harrass mormons.

Harassing someone because of their religion is wrong. Bigoted phrases such as "that's so gay" are also wrong, even if it "enjoys widespread currency in youth culture." Why Rebekah was singled out while the other kids got a pass is an injustice. But nobody's hands were clean in this case.

However, nothing in the story led me to conclude that there is an outright "gay war" on Mormons, as your title suggests. The closest thing I saw to an organized response was Eliza Byard's response, and it seems as if she were responding to the Associated Press.

Did you actually read the article? =P *ducks*

You bet I did, and I blew that sucker so far out of proportion that it's hardly recognizable...just like the school did to Rebekah.

Do I really think the gay community declared war on mormons? No. Homosexuals had absolutely nothing to do with the situation that happened (except to be overly-sensitive in the first place).

Am I being overly-sensitive? Hell yes! That's the point. All this politically correct BS has got to stop.

But nobody's hands were clean in this case.
That's where you are wrong. EVERYBODY's hands are clean in this case (kind of, but I'll get to that).

Asking Rebekah if she had 10 moms, should not be offensive! The statement is sheer ignorance. Anyone who is mormon doesn't feel bullied by these kinds of jokes, as you can see in her response to it.

Rebekah responding "that's so gay," should not be offensive! What kind of backward moron thinks that the girl really meant that such ignorant thought (believing mormons still practice polygamy) was of homosexual origin?

With the push of being politically correct (PC) we have destroyed common sense. From now on PC only means overly-sensitive (OS).

So when it comes down to it, the fault lies with the gay community for what happened to Rebekah, because of how OS they have been for so long. She deserves a big fat apology from the homosexuals, for trampling all over her right to freedom of speech. That's right I forgot that gays, feminists, blacks, etc. are all more important than the constitution.
